We supply high quality 21mm thick SOLID OAK timber flooring both in Character Grade or Rustic Grade with the board width ranging from 130mm to 290mm at random lengths. Solid oak flooring has been used over the centuries as a highly desirable and durable flooring product. The character grade version contains small dead knots, sound knots and occasional face shakes typical within this grade. They will require no major treatment and give the finished floor the traditional look so sought after. The rustic grade has open knots, face shakes, sapwood and the odd worm hole that can be filled if required. Some of the holes will go all the way through the board offering rustic feel to the board if left unfilled. The boards are suited to a wide range of projects from renovation or barn conversions to the more contemporary self build. The oak flooring is kiln dried allowing it to be laid with underfloor heating and is supplied tongue and grooved and end matched. We would recommend that a specialist fitter is used when laying solid oak as they are generally familiar with acclimatisation, fixing methods, underfloor heating, finishing and treatments. We also supply first grade ENGINEERED OAK timber flooring. Our single strip European engineered flooring is also suitable for underfloor heating. We stock 15mm thick (4mm Oak layer) and 21mm thick (6mm Oak layer) available in an untreated finish with some being brushed and oiled. The 21mm thick board is fully load bearing when fixed directly onto floor joists. The Oak layer has a micro beveled edge detail and then fixed onto crossed plywood. Currently the boards are supplied in 1.9m long pieces, the 15mm thick board is available in 190mm widths and the 21mm thick board is available in 160mm, 190mm and 220mm widths. Premium Grade TRAVERTINE is a fantastic product we have available in our internal flooring collection. We promote the Classic medium / light version in two finishes; the HONED and FILLED and the TUMBLED and BRUSHED (unfilled). They are both suitale to be used with underfloor heating. The Honed & Filled has a smooth surface and is available in 610mm x 406mm x 12mm and 406mm x 406mm x 12mm sizes. The Brushed & Tumbled is unfilled and available in a 4 size mixed pack / opus romano pattern. Also in the Unfilled and Brushed travertine, we also have a 30mm exterior grade available in either 610mm x 406mm x 30mm or the 4 size mixed pack for customers wanting to take the inside flooring theme to the outside, reflecting a major new trend where interior and exterior spaces flow together. For more information and pricing, please call 0151 357 2244.
